bringing the regressive sacrifice

can't let go of you, as easily as you have let go of me.
somewhere, a heartbeat still echoes faintly, a sign of life
in promises and hopes of a different future,
then the one that is shaping itself now.
scientifically matching the faint and dying heartbeat, of a love and devotion
you once couldn't hide.

and your words of personal truths are teaching me to hate life,
because I want to spit on and despise anything
that crafts such maliciousness.

the designed impossiblity, of two people in love and who miss each other,
finding common ground to stand on,
admitting,
things can be better,
now that we're trying.

but it all winds up being,
one
big
joke.

my idea of real love,
the punchline.
