heaven is easy

I've walked you a million times and your name is still a few seconds short of my lips.
Choose me and I'll go to the dirt.
point the finger at me, watch my body collapse against you belly.
curled up,
the 4am clouds, the lights out and a fan addressing the stillness in the air.
the sheets aren't enough to cover your ghost and myself anymore,
so I can't begin to tell you how much I hate this.
How much I hate to be lost in your tearing down,
deconstructing my control.
leaning against the bathroom door,
staring at the still wet shower.
the locks are still the same
for you to catch me coming and going.
